A short trip back to the past, and to the South Devon Railway, which runs between Buckfastleigh to Totnes, alongside the river dart. It is the other railway which runs alongside the River Dart, the other being the Dartmouth Steam Railway, which has already been covered in a previous video, ‘Too Much Pressure’. On this ‘Back to the 1940s’ weekend, there were many more services than usual (8 return trains), crossing over at Staverton Loop. Running on the day, was small prairie 2-6-0, No. 5526, and ‘1336 Class’ 0-6-0PT, No. 1369.
