45596 Bahamas - ‘South Devon Explorer I'
The South Devon Explorer hauled by Jubilee Class No. 45596 ‘Bahamas’ made a short trip in and out of Devon. Starting in Woking, the service was diesel hauled to Taunton, where 45596 ‘Bahamas’ took over, and ran unassisted for the remainder of the day. The first shot was at Ellerhayes, where the service passed through 4 minutes early. The service was suppose to stop at Dawlish Warren for 10 minutes to allow a train behind to pass, however, due to its early running, it didn’t, and it got to Rattery at exactly the same time I did. As a result, I wasn’t able to set any equipment up, which is why the video is not the best. Next up, the air. An 87 year old chase between ‘Bahamas’ made in 1934, and Aeronca C3 G-AEFT made in 1936, you can watch that video @FlyingForFunTrecanair. Finally, Hemerdon, which was cleared unassisted in just over 3 minutes, a solid performance, (6.5 out of 10).
